The Museum of Tourism in the Silesian Beskid Mountains is located in Przysłop on the slope of Barania Mount. The museum was opened in 1994 thanks to efforts of many people, among them Edward Moskała whose idea was to build a museum dedicated to mountain tourism in the Polish part of the Karpaty mountains. The exposition is displayed in three large rooms and it mainly concerns the beginnings, development and history of tourism in the Silesian Beskid Mountains and the activities of tourist organizations such as: Beskidenverein and Polish Tourists Association, as well as the person of Edward Moskała and the development of skiing in the Beskid Mountains. There are also exhibits concerning ethnography – costumes and household appliances. One of the rooms is dedicated to some other centers of Mountain Tourism and cooperation among them, there is a large collection of pennants and badges from numerous meeting and gatherings. There is also a souvenir stall, a meeting hall ‘Ondraszkowa cellar’ and a guest room in the museum.
