The wooden church was built in the years 1981 – 1983 in Wisła Głębce. A much older part of the church is the historic tower from the XVII century size 8.75 x 8.40 and 30.5 meters high. It was moved to Wisła from a church in Połomia near Jastrzębie Zdrój in 1981 and then reconstructed . The church has a reinforced concrete structure and was built by the architects Mr. Piotr Wzorek and Mr. Marek Cempla and the construction was developed by Mr. Kazimierz Binek. The church was consecrated on 12 June, 1983 and since 16 April, 1984 it has been the seat of the parish of Finding of the Holy Cross.
